Firefox using >40% CPU just twiddling thumbs?
Firefox is not doing much at all. Yet, more than 40% CPU is draining my battery.

Whilst regular web browsing may surface Fiefox for Android as being a cause of battery usage, please appreciate that you are using an Android 4 device.
Chances are that the device is about five to six years old and the battery may not hold its charge as well as a newer device might.
