Firefox 90.0.2 macOS 11.5.1 Facebook Container 2.3.1

I work with an organisation which is using Workplace (https://www.workplace.com/), a "social media" site owned, managed and run by Facebook. If you aren't familiar with Workplace, it is a business-oriented site to allow organisations to communicate internally - Facebook trying to improve its image?

Except although Facebook Container recognises it as a Facebook site, it breaks the specific site (https://citizensadvice.workplace.com/) my organisation uses. And neither can I place this site within Facebook Container.

I really don't want to turn off Facebook Container everytime I access this particular site, several times a week but I don't want to open myself up to tracking by Facebook.

Ideas or suggestions for resolving this problem?

Thanks

Is this about this issue with Facebook  ?

No, it's an issue about the Facebook Container add-on to Firefox produced by Mozilla Firefox not functioning correctly.

Facebook Container works as it should with Facebook, Instagram and Messenger, and in blocking Facebook tracking across the web.

But Facebook Container breaks/prevents access to Workplace. Now I don't know if this is a problem with Facebook Container itself or Facebook is deliberately attempting to stop Facebook Container functioning.

I thinks this is issue from Facebook...

I don't know …

But I don't have any problems with Facebook Container anywhere else, just the Workplace website which suggests to me the problem is with Facebook Container.

However, it might be Facebook is trying to pretend Workplace isn't a Facebook owned and managed website but Facebook Container knows it is but can't handle it.

I don't know - that's why I'm asking here :-)

It is likely that the Facebook Container extension doesn't recognize this as a Facebook website like URL that clearly have facebook in their URL. I assume that you can make an allow exception in FC to allow this website to work with Facebook.

FC does sort of recognise it as a Facebook website - if I put the cursor over "Remove Site from Facebook Container", FC tells me "Because it is a Facebook-owned site, it cannot be removed from the container" …

Except, workplace.com isn't actually in the container and I can't add it …

Except, sometimes I can - if I have other windows open as well as workplace.com and the focus is on another window and the workplace.com window is visible, if I then click directly on the FC icon in the workplace.com window, FC allows me to add workplace.com

But that doesn't help - FC still breaks https://citizensadvice.workplace.com and I can't log in.

The only way I can log in to https://citizensadvice.workplace.com is to turn off FC :-(

I have found references on the web that indicates FC does function with workplace.com so I suspect it might be the specific impementation at https://citizensadvice.workplace.com … I have asked the question there but have not so far received a reply.
