Firefox on Win 11 laptop won't load home page, won't search or even open
Hi all, this issue has existed for awhile with me. On previous computers I had to use Chrome over Firefox because sometimes this issue occurs. I won't get error messages, or any freezing. The browser will open but after that the issues arise. My home page shortcuts won't appear. It will be a blank tab and that is it. If I press any of my shortcuts on the toolbar, or even search anything it will load and load and load. But won't ever crash, have an error or anything. Just a continuous load. Some times it will just open a new blank tab and do nothing. Then after closing Firefox through task manager, the browser won't even open. If it does, the same thing happens. This will happen randomly and quite often. Right now I am on Firefox after having to 'refresh' the browser in the settings and it started up but immediately the websites wouldn't load nor the home page favourite websites. I spammed the websites, opened about 20 tabs of different websites and eventually ONE of those tabs load. I honestly cant find any articles relating to this issue. Edge and Chrome work flawlessly but for some reason Firefox will throw in this issue for me. I prefer this browser over the other two but I have had to use Edge to find support when Firefox wouldn't work.
I am currently on Win 11 Dell XPS 13 and have reinstalled Firefox numerous times.
Any help will be appreciated.

Have you tried Windows in Safe Mode. I have Win11 on another laptop with multiple versions of Firefox and no issues.
A video of the issue would help. Try OBS.

I have yeah. Windows in safe mode, Firefox in troubleshoot mode etc. It comes and goes. Last night it worked without a single issue. Just now I had to open and close 6 tabs for some of my websites before they would actually work. I know I had this issue once on my Win 10 laptop before I end up using chrome with no issues (minus CPU load).
Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}
You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.
Install both 32-bit and 64-bit "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019" downloads, (x86: vc_redist.x86.exe and x64: vc_redist.x64.exe) from https://support.microsoft.com/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
You may not need the latter (32-bit version) if you use 64-bit Firefox. You may have to reboot the computer. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In another thread, a user reported that a recent update of Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (version 415) may be causing symptoms similar to the VC Runtime problem. If you have MBAE, it should have a setting to exempt Firefox. You could test whether that makes any difference.
