Firefox account verification email is has timestamp rendered in Greek date instead of English
To post on this support forum I just created a Firefox account. The system then emailed me a verification code to check my address. While nearly the entire email was in English, the time seemed to be rendered in Greek. This seems a bit odd to me. My browser is set to English, with no other languages present. My IP address is in the Netherlands. See the contents of the email below.

Thanks for your reply, but it doesn't quite address the problem.
My IP address is in the Netherlands, but the date is in Greek. Greece is a different country from the Netherlands.
Besides, the rest of the email is in English. I would expect the entire message in one consistent language, instead of a mix of different languages.

Hi
Is this a version of Firefox that you have downloaded from Mozilla (or the Snap or Flatpak version) or is it a version provided by your Linux distribution?
Thanks Seburo for your quick response.
I'm running 98.0.1 (64-bit), downloaded from the Firefox website. It is not a snap, flatpack or Debian package. It has been installed some years ago and always been auto-updated. The ff profile also is some years old.
But is the browser version really that relevant? I used the browser to create an account, but the language mix-up happened in the confirmation email I received. The language used is in the email is (mostly) English, which differs from my geo-ip, which would be Dutch. So either the language requested by my browser is used, or all emails are sent in English. I have no way to distinguish, without creating another account using different browser settings.
Cheers, Maarten
I have just downloaded a fresh Firefox, created a fresh profile and created a new ff account. The result is a fully English email. So no more Greek bits.
Still I fail to see how a different browser profile can change the language of a single line in an email, received in Thunderbird.

No proxy or vpn, I use a direct connection to the internet.
The confirmation email shows: 's-Hertogenbosch, NB, Netherlands (estimated) IP address: 45.95.64.129
While geo-ip is a bit off (I'm closer to Amsterdam than 's-Hertogenbosch), it identifies the country correctly. But while geo-ip shows the Netherlands, the email was in English, which is the language my browser uses.
