Problem with Firefox unable to click on to other parts of websites

I have a problem that has developed in the last few days. When using my desktop am unable to click on to other areas in a website. If I use Google Chrome I have no problem, also using my laptop no problem with FireFox. I have checked the Firefox settings with those on the laptop and they are exactly the same. I have had the same problem with various websites. Any suggestions, please?

A friend suggested a system restore and having run this the problem has corrected itself.

The Yahoo! Toolbar extension has been reported to cause this issue.
