If you'll check this forum and Google you'll see a lot of people having trouble with 12 immediately after upgrading. 12 may not be compatible with everyone's computer if not tested will all the various extensions, plugins (like toolbars) and different third party programs running in the background. People on here have spent hours trying to get it to work only to abandon it and go back to 11 or their previous version. Others went to Beta 13 and had a few problems here and there.
12 has proved to be huge memory hog and running your computer out of preset page file history memory whit a lot of extra programs running in the background.
Open task manager and you can see what's going on with processor and memory usage.
Mike Wilson,
Thanks for taking an interest in problems that are reported after after upgrade to Firefox 12.
I note your recommendation to use Firefox Beta channel. The Beta will include more recent fixes, and in fact as a personal a opinion I would often recommend trying it. BUT lets remember anything that is a problem now in the Firefox 12 Release is likely to have been tested already in the Beta. As I have pointed out elsethread some problem resolution after switching channels may in fact be due to the use of a new profile, as much as to a new version.
Please Note Reverting to Firefox 11 is not a recommended solution, I do not think it is helpful if you keep suggesting that to users. Please let us try to remember that in all likelihood there are multiple problems with similar symptoms, so in my opinion users should try to explain specific single problems, and we should all then try to solve those individual problems.
Look, you're having multiple users with the same problems in v12. Why don't you just fix it? I quit using IE because I *LOVED* FF. However, I'm at the point of moving to another browser (Chrome?) or even back to IE. I WILL NOT USE A POS BROWER THAT CRASHES WITHOUT BEING FIXED!
