Browsing to upload a file used to default to "All Files", now it defaults to "Image Files". This was not a problem in earlier versions. Is there a fix for this?

This has been asked at least two other times, but no real answers. One "answer" only deals with downloading documents. The problem is with UPLOADING documents. For most users, this isn't a problem because they probalby want to upload a picture of something they are selling or posting on a social website, but we have to upload hundreds of documents every day and this is an extra step in an already tedious process.

Is this for ECF filings as in this thread: MAC- Cannot attach a document to legal electronic filing website- JNLP not showing in Applications? I didn't realize the users there had to change it every time; that would be incredibly annoying.

If it's on a site that can be viewed without a login, could you provide a link to the form?

If a login is required, it would be useful to know whether the upload control is somehow specifying that it prefers image files. For example, the "Add images" control below the compose box on this forum includes this in its code (select around the area, right-click, and choose View Selection Source to see this):

input id="id_image" name="image" size="30" accept="image/jpeg,image/png,image/gif" title="Browse for an image to upload." type="file"

That might be influencing the filter Firefox uses when it displays the dialog.

Current Firefox versions support a lot more attributes for the input element.
