I don't know how this got set this way, but every time I write an email message in Thunderbird (either creating the message, or replying to one); the first address box automatically fills itself with "My Email Address". What's worse is the type of message (the tab to the left of the name box) sets itself to "Reply To".

I have to delete my own address every time I go to send a message. Then I have to reset the message type as: "To".

I assume there is some setting that needed to be changed, but I have no idea where to find it.

Can ya help a brotha out here people?

Thanks,

Jimmy

From the menu bar select Tools-Account settings Click on the problem account. Do you have something in the Reply To field? If so delete it. You only need that field if you want the reply to go to a different email address than the one you are sending from.

No menu bar showing? Press the alt key to make it appear.
