I have TB configured to show incoming messages as unread (bold) until displayed for 5 seconds -- this works quite well.

However, if a message is received as a reply to an email I sent, that is displayed as read, i.e. not in bold text. This allows it to be easily over-looked, in my opinion.

Am I missing some part of a configuration of TB, or is this a "flaw"?

All helpful suggestions gratefully received,

Thank you, Ian

PS -- My setup is POP3 on Win7.

Chosen solution

Having played about with this problem, and sent myself hundreds of emails from another address, I am pleased to say it has been resolved.

A message filter inadvertently contained a "Mark as Read" instruction which, as it appears to be the first part to be processed, was obviously rendering affected incoming messages as "not new".

I must take more care when creating things !!!

Re my original question, I've just realised that there is no sound being broadcast either at the time a reply is received -- but a sound is made when a new one arrives.

Thank you,

Ian
