My macbook no longer works. Can I take the harddrive out and restore the session on another computer?

I have an old Macbook pro and the logicboard is died and the computer no longer works. I still have data on the harddrive so I was going to pull the drive out and transfer all the data to another computer. My question is- is my session/browsing history stored somewhere on that harddrive that I am going to remove, and can I somehow pull it up on a different computer?

Thanks!

If the drive is attached without changing the data on it, it should work. Have someone change the drive settings so that it becomes a slave.
