What is the exact error message?

It comes up the printer is offline.It is not though as I can print off the internet.

have you looked in the little printer icon on the bottom right of the window, are the print jobs shown here queued for printing?

Is it trying to use the correct printer or an old, non-existing one?

It is calling upthe correct printer and the icon in the bottom right hand corner shows the emails ready to be printed

So you do not have a problem with Thunderbird. Printing from any other application will create the same problem. Try printing some text from notepad for instance.

Problem solved. Having tried reprogramming my printer which did not solve the fault I removed the printer from my computer and then reinstalled which solved the problem. Thanks for your help. Regards Colin Moore
