I love Firefox. My MacBook Pro was recently stolen (it was still running OSX Mavericks), and I got a replacement that runs OSX Sierra (10.12.6). I LOVE the add-on Flash Got, but I recently installed Firefox on my MacBook Pro, and it installed Firefox Quantum version 57. When I try to install Flash Got, it says that it's not compatible with Firefox Quantum. Do you know if there will be a compatible version of Flash Got for Firefox Quantum soon? Please let me know. If not, I may even downgrade to a previous version of Firefox, because none of the other downloaders seem to utilize iGetter, which makes the downloads SO much faster. If you know of a Flash media downloader that does use iGetter, please let me know. UPDATE: I just tried to use an iGetter work around, and it DOES NOT WORK! I believe both companies are working on plug-ins, but another question remains: it seems that EVERYBODY is complaining about this new platform! I don't see any positive things about it! Why couldn't you just leave well enough alone?

Thank you for your time.

https://www.howtogeek.com/333230/why-firefox-had-to-kill-your-favorite-extension/ Find links off of page bottom of programs still coding to change over for FF57.

Find Alternatives : https://mozilla.github.io/extension-finder/

I have only used iGetther as a stand alone so copy url location in FF then click iGetter and and and go. I have used it for over a year like that and has never bothered me.

If you go to the iGetter page the program is ancient (just went a new version 2.7.5) so no their will not be a fix for that and they would have to make the fix as Developers do there programs/addons/Extensions, Mozilla approves for use with Firefox and provides the Developer with a web page for distribution only. Developers have support and contact pages. Firefox Support will work on addons/Extensions in the contect of getting Firefox running and if cure the extension/addon so be it.

So use the links provided for Alternative as they can be just as good. Run it as a full program instead.

Going back : unfortunately 56.0.2 is no longer safe to use for every day use do to secuity issues, but 52.5.0 ESR is. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Okay, but I don't understand - if I'm watching a movie on YouTube, for example, are you saying that I can just paste that URL into iGetter and it will automatically download the movie? I have "Flash Video Downloader" installed, but when I click on it it doesn't give me a download URL. Right now I'm downloading something and it is only downloading at 200kb/sec! And it's not my internet connection, either.

If you can find the link with a right click copy link location, press the Plus sign on iGetter then the arrow and it is in. I go to a torrent site, go to a magnetic link, right click and copy URL Location then I paste into my account at Bitport.io they download it and then I copy link location to Igetter and it comes in encrypted then compiles to file.

I skip one step in this example the movie conversion https://bitport.io/integrations-plugins-tips hope that works for you but ya....all files are encrypted they know am downloading just not what I am downloading.

Hi Pkshadow,

Thanks for the information. I believe a large part of the problem is the fact that I can't find good sites for movies/tv shows anymore. I used to use Solarmovie, but some time last year that website got nailed by the greedy copyright people, and it's not nearly as good anymore. I can still find movies, but they are often only in "stream" format and can't be downloaded as mp4's or flv's (It was ALWAYS available before they changed it). Also, recently I've found that I can stream the movie but when I go to download it, it's a broken file. You mentioned torrent sites - can you recommend one for the tech-challenged? I've never used a torrent site - do they require a special add-on to download? I want to get back all of the movies and TV shows that I lost when my computer was stolen. Thank you for your help.
