How can I label downloads so I know what they are?
When i download a file/picture/program it names the downloaded file which is not recognized by me.
Ex. A picture would be labeled " Record-image(11).jpg when downloaded. How can I know what this is unless I open it.

you can right-click download links, choose "save as..." and specify a custom name for the files.

You can try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset all file actions if you get a missing or wrong file extension.
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/File_types_and_download_actions#Resetting_download_actions
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
