First off, way too damn hard to actually get to a forum or contact area to actually ask a question. Not everyone using FF is a programmer

How does it take a user like myself (been using ff for 7 or more years) 4 different pages to actually get to one to ask a question? Seriously, IE has better access to the support forums. Now on to my actual problem. I have a lot of bogging/crashing related to flash player 11, as well as even the most current version of flash (and yes I have uninstalled all older versions) reading as an outdated version. Is there no way to get ff to actually work concurrent to flash or am I just fated to run chrome instead? Wouldn't believe a hardware issue since it's just ff (even IE runs better at this point) but Acer Aspire 7741z with W7 (and yes I know it's an outdated system but specs are still up to current),

Chosen solution

Rather a longshot but if you think Flash issues may cause this

btw forgot to mention only way to actually get ff to be responsive at all times is to have task manager running at the same time. And I mean responsive to the point the window close button won't respond without task manager running in the background. And yes I have tracked this down to a flash related problem, ff runs perfectly with flash completely uninstalled, but this is not a workable solution with the web being as it is.

hello tralio, please try to reset firefox and see if this can address the issue: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

worked for a minute, soon as I logged back into facebook crashed flash again, then back to needing task manager open to click at all in the ff window. Only ff window is affected, can click outside but won't drop/close window. Can pull up other browser windows and work fine. Facebook just for fact it's flash intensive and thus a good test platform for flash issues.

That actually worked, Realdownloader Chrome Background Extension Plug-in 1.3.2.28 appears to have been the problem. If not dowloading with a chrome plugin on ff is what i have to deal with then I will..... :p (not sure why a chrome plugin is installed on ff but it's real, so who knows). Thanks for the help everyone, much appreciated, and great catch John99.

John: If your response is to Tralio sentence "How does it take a user like myself (been using ff for 7 or more years) 4 different pages to actually get to one to ask a question? " then why when I click you link I get Page Not Found. I too would like to ask a question, but have yet to find a page or link to do so.So, please explain while I'm here let me ask Ihave a laptop Win VISTA eunning ff ver. 24.0 and a desktop Win 7 running ff 23.0.1. Both versions show "you have latest version installed". How can this be?

Hi dshand, when Mozilla releases a full version update for Firefox, distribution is initially limited to avoid overloading the servers and to allow time to detect any major problems.

In the near future, you should be offered an update on your Firefox 23.0.1 system -- unless something is very broken there.

If you want to get Firefox 24 now, you can choose the version for your language here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

jscher2000: this worked fine. Thank you. Now, not to a pain, could you (or anyone) show me how or where to Ask a Question? I have all around forums and still not found a spot, link or window to post a question, (or start a new feed?)

Hi dshand, at the very top of the page you should find an "Ask a Question" link. The process goes through several screens with suggested articles that answer the most common questions, but if they don't sound relevant, scroll pass the suggestions to continue submitting your own new question.

well, i just got here ... finally added in search how to find a way to ask a new question and it brought me here. Easier to navigate thru a government site (Yikes !) ... will try what the above post suggests ... i'm off :)
