When browser open, we just need one open, rest all to open if and when as per our command. Here that's not happening. Firefox opens inside firefox (Stupid unwanted ads).

If this is not solved, am afraid people will stop using Firefox.

Kindly advise how to get rid of this problem.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

What tabs open?
Are that normal tabs or pinned tabs?

What is the startup setting?

You can check the home page setting:

  • 3-bar Firefox menu button > Options > General > Startup: Home page

Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
