for the past 2 days - ever since the update to version 29 installed, I cannot open Firefox AT ALL. Neither in Safe Mode, nor any other way. I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps recommended on the site to no avail. PLEASE HELP as I need this browser to work. This is the latest crash report - Crash ID: bp-814ff36a-6efb-471a-91af-4c2ba2140514.
Thank you Deborah Donovan

Digital Guardian is enterprise software that is only tested and compatible with Firefox ESR releases. Future versions of Digital Guardian will have a better error message about this incompatibility, instead of crashing. But since your computer requires this software, you will have to install the Firefox ESR version, or get it from your system administrator.

Hello,
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
- Open Firefox Options window (Preferences on Mac or Linux) as follows:
- In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button and select Options for Windows or Preferences on Mac or Linux.
- In Firefox 28.0 and previous versions, click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
- In the Firefox Options (or Preferences) window, click the Advanced tab, then select General.
- In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
- Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.

hello deborah, the crash in the report id that you've provided is apparently caused by a software named "Digital Guardian" by Verdasys which is interfering with firefox.
No, that did not fix the problem as the problem is that I cannot even get Firefox to launch so how could I possibly get to the options menu within?
If there is another way to perform this then please share.

This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.
The second reply was more informative. I wonder if anyone has a work around besides uninstalling as this is a company pc and that software is apparantly required. Any suggestions that do not require actually opening the program to fix it will be greatly appreciated as I cannot get it to open - not even in Safe Mode
