I recently updated Firefox to 64.0.2 (64 bit), and since then, I no longer have the option to change the expiration of a screenshot taken with Firefox Screenshots. Before I updated, I could click on the text on the top left that says "expires in 14 days" and there was a dropdown menu with options to extend the expiration of the shot. Now, the "expires in 14 days" is just text, and clicking on it does nothing.

I know that I can save screenshots to my device, but I would also like the option of keeping them longer than 14 days in the cloud.

Expected outcome: Clicking on "expires in 14 days" opens a dropdown menu with multiple options to extend the expiration date.

Actual outcome: Clicking on "expires in 14 days" does nothing. There is no dropdown menu.

I think that Mozilla made recent changes to the Firefox Screenshots service. It appears that you can no longer change the expiration date.

If you want to keep the screenshot, you can press the heart icon to permanently store the image in the cloud. If you want to remove the screenshot before the 14 days, you click the garbage icon to delete it.

I'm pretty sure that this feature was removed for good. Storing files online uses resources and costs money. The service was never really intended to be a long-term image hosting platform, only temporary short-term storage. It's likely that Mozilla didn't want to deal with the hassle (privacy requirements, hot linking, storage expansion, etc) of saving and storing screenshots permanently.

If you are looking to permanently store your screenshots online, try a service like Imgur, Flickr or Google Photos all of which are intended to save and store your photos.

thank you :) that is really a shame, who needs to save stuff for 14 days?
