View, backward/forward/bookmark and all other top of the page folders have disappeared. I have tried safe start but that brings me back to the same web page without any tools. All I have visible are the Norton cart and cards & Longins
How do I get my tools back on top - no backward/forward, no VIEW, no tools, no bookmarks - nothing. I have tried opening in safe mode and start-run as instructed but the same empty top of the page opens.

Can't see the Menu Bar (File, Edit, View, History...Help)? Hold down the key ( key in OSX) and press the following letters in this exact order: V T M The Menu Bar should now be displayed permanently, unless you turn it off again (View > Toolbars). Turning the Menu Bar on and off is a new feature in version 3.6. See other bars under View > Toolbars. Click on one of them will place a check mark (display) or remove the check mark (not displayed). To display the Status Bar, View, then click Status bar to place a check mark (display) or remove the check mark (not displayed).
- If items are missing then see if you can find them in the View > Toolbars > Customize window.
- If you see the item in the Customize window then drag it back from the Customize window to the Navigation toolbar.
- If you do not see that item then click the Restore Default Set button in the View > Toolbars > Customize window.

Do not understand what . . . "hold down key (key in OSX) means. . ." ? What key?
You can ignore that part of the posted text, you can only hide the menu bar on the Windows platform and not on Mac OS X and Linux.
On Windows you can press the F10 key to make the Menu bar appear if it is hidden. If a plugin has focus then the keyboard won't work and you need to click somewhere in the user interface (e.g. location bar)

I don't know if this is the same problem or not. A web site I have to use a lot will open windows that either in Firefox or IE, any versions, will have all of their menu bar items suppressed -- so even simple things like EDIT/FIND can't help me do my job. ALT, right-click, you name it, none of these work. All that works are the programmed buttons on the page that the web site provided.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
