I have been having problems with firefox taking 5-10 minutes to load one page ever since the latest 59.01 update, is anyone else having this problem?

Ever since the most recent 59.01 update which i did on 3-16-18, firefox is taking 5-10 minutes to load practically anything, even the search bar. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and tried every fix possible. Google Chrome runs just fine. If this is on Firefox's end then it needs to be fixed asap please, i really hate having to use google chrome, but you guys are leaving me no choice.

Hi see if this is the issue : there appears to be an issue that only affects users who have turned off cleartype font rendering within their windows settings. So a workaround for the moment would either be to turn cleartype back on or disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings

I've never even heard of "cleartype font rendering" before today, so there is no way i could have turned off something i never knew existed. Sadly until you guys update firefox i shall have to switch to google chrome for the moment. Thankyou for your assistance.

Hi, ya do what you gotta do. Or could search your system for it or open Options in Firefox and turn it off. https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/28790/tweak-cleartype-in-windows-7/
