When I connect to a public wifi I get connected to their network. However, the terms acceptance page won't load, which means I can't agree to terms, which means that I cannot get connected to the internet. There was no problem through Tuesday, 12/10/19, but starting on Wednesday the terms pages quit loading.

After trying 4 different browsers, I went back into (again) my Windows settings. After reapplying various settings, I tried again ... and was successful this time. Thank you very much for responding to my needs - I deeply appreciate your efforts.

Does it help at all to go to an unsecured address you haven't visited before, such as

http://example.com/

and let the wi-fi hotspot redirect from there?

That should avoid secure connection errors and also avoid any problems that could be caused by previously cached pages or old cookies.

I tried an unsecured address, but that didn't help (tried it at two different public wifi locations).

What do you get -- something like a site not found error, or connection timed out, or ??

My network status shows that I am connected to the network, but have no internet access.

I understand that part, but what do you get when you try to load a page in Firefox? Or in Microsoft Edge?
