What attribute does FF use to identify stored fields (like IDs and PWs)?

I have one log in page on my site that is called any time someone tries to access a protected section. Some pages require only a UID and PW, whereas other pages require one additional piece of info we call a "Training Code" (TC)

Log In Scenario A: 2 required fields [ UID, PW ]

Log In Scenario B: 3 required fields [ UID, PW, TC ]

BOTH Log in Scenario A & B work perfectly ONLY if upon return, you use the same scenario you did previously.

My issue is only when I go from Scenario A to B or vice versa. When I do this, FF attempts to autologin but is denied. FF states that the stored values do not match. (yet I know they match because if I return to the same scenario, it works with the autologin values) I think I must be improperly labeling/identifying/attributing the 3 fields (UID, PW, TC) for this to happen.

Any ideas on how to ensure the correct values are being stored for their corresponding fields?

Many Thanks,

Jefferson Morris
