After Firefox installed an upgrade the bar at the top containing file/edit/view/history/bookmarks/help disappeared and now I must hit the alt key in order to attain that bar. What must be done to restore my computer to normally show that information bar?

After pressing Alt, in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on "Menu Bar" and it will be permanently displayed again.
