I was recently asked what country the Solaris SPARC and x86 versions of Firefox 9.0.1 are compiled. The versions I have on hand are:

http://download02.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/9.0.1/contrib/solaris_pkgadd/firefox-9.0.1.en-US.solaris-10-fcs-i386-pkg.bz2

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your URL contains en-US indicating English U.S. Were you looking for other versions? If you navigate around on that server, you will find many more for Linux, Windows, and MacOS than for SPARC.

So if it has the "en" indicator it was compiled in the US? I'm looking for country of origin for documentation purposes.

I don't think you can tell from the file itself where it was compiled. You probably need to track down the people in charge of releasing (i.e., whoever controls that set of directories) to get that specific information.

most likely done by the remnants of the sun microsystems desktop development team in china. they did many of the solaris contribs.
