firefox starts with multiple tabs advertising addons

for instance, I installed addon: 1-click youtube downloader. Now when I start FF, an extra tab opens with the home page page for this addon.

There is a solution, I think by changing the 'about:config' settings. But I've forgotten. Had to reinstall FF and lost my previous settings.

Anyone know?

Just run a sweep of your system using malwarebytes and let it clean the crap you've just installed. Be more careful next time you choose to download and install dodgy software from untrusted sources. After the malwarebytes scan is completed, try again and see if any improvement has been made.
