I want Yahoo to be my search engine, not Google. How ?

I want Yahoo to be my search engine, not Google. How ?

Chosen solution

Hi SISSISweeney, two steps. First, adding a search plugin for Yahoo and then second, switching your default.

(1) Adding a Yahoo search plugin

menu button > Add-ons > Browse all Firefox Add-ons

That should bring you to the Mozilla Add-ons site.

Do a search for Yahoo (don't pick a suggestion, just tap the search or return icon on your device's keyboard).

Tap the gray bar for "Filter results" and change "Add-on Type" to "Search Tool"

Now when you scroll down, you should see just search plugins. I have one there called Yahoo.com Search which you could try. Tap that, then on its individual page, tap Add to Firefox, and confirm in the overlay that you want to add it.

This should add a "Y" icon to your search choices.

(2) Setting Yahoo as your default search site

Check the steps in the following article:

Can you get it all set up the way you want?
