I am still using windows 7, working fine until today when Mozilla disappeared completely on start up. Reloaded from USB stick and I cannot remember how to add the toolbar underneath where the URL is. The one where I dragged and dropped and/or copied and pasted the URL's that I use most frequently. I do not like or use the side bookmark thing. I just want this 2nd space underneath the URL back where I can drag and drop sites. Very frustrating, thank you

Hi stlhseeker, Try this: 3-bar Menu -> Customize at the bottom you will see Toolbars open the menu and select Bookmarks Toolbar Click Done.

Thank you for your fast reply. With just bookmarks tool mark checked I then lose File,Edit View History Bookmarks, Tools Help top left which I don't want to loose. So both Menu Bar & Bookmarks toolbar I have checked. It doesn't solve my problem to have one or the other or both and I am noting an error message once shut down and starting back up that is red across top that says The Bookmarks & History System will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem.

If you want to have the Menu bar visible then you need to tick that box. Your problem seems to be with the bookmarks not working properly, so both items need to have a checkmark in the setting what toolbars to show to make this work properly once you fixed issues with places.sqlite.
