I just downloaded FF to try, as I'm disgusted with att/yahoo! But there are no instructions as to how to use it! I tried to sign up for one service, and when it asked for my email address, it came back and said "Please use a "legitimate" email address"!! It never mentioned any special FireFox email system. Lee, just exactly what are you trying to do?

FF is an internet browser like Internet Explorer.

ATT/Yahoo! is an Internet Service Provider. They provide a connection between your PC and the internet. (Time Warner's RoadRunner is also an ISP and does the same thing as ATT/Yahoo!)

You state that you tried to sign up for one service. What service was that and who was it with?

Mozilla is not an ISP and does not provide an internet connection nor does it have a special FF e-mail system.

Please clarify your problem and get back to me so that I can help you further.

You shouldn't need to supply an email address or register anywhere in order to use Firefox.

Make sure that you only install a Firefox version that you downloaded from the official Mozilla servers. Otherwise you may end up with unwanted extras or even malware and viruses.
