I got last update of Firefox today, and since re-start, I can not read my mail from Hotmail, or log in to any of my secure banking sites... Why?

My pc automatically update Mozilla, and today after the update, it restarted as always, but now I can no longer read my email, do my banking or access any secure sites.. I can open their pages, but take no action. It still work with Explorer, so it is not all the banks faults.

Had already done that and it still didn't solve anything. Instead I went to the add-on's and found that in the update of FF, there were 6 add-on's that I hadn't been able to unsubscribe from. As soon as I DELETED all of those - the pages are all working again!!

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.
