How do I open a link from Twitter internal browser

Hi,

a month ago I was able to open a link in the internal browser (which is best IMO for a quick preview) of the official Twitter app and then open the menu and tap on "open in external browser" for further reading, which opened the link in my default browser AKA Firefox.

But now the only think that appears in the menu is "Open in Chrome" (with an ugly "Powered by Chrome" in the bottom). I have to tap on "Share" then on "Copy URL in clipboard" then open Firefox and finally paste the URL.

Does it come from a commercial agreement between Google and Twitter or is there something Chrome implemented to be able to be present in Twitter's menu, that Firefox does not implement ?

Am I the only one bothered ?

I own a Nexus 4 device with Android 5.1.1 with Firefox 42.0.2. The twitter app is the last up-to-date too.

Did you try the Open with Native add-on?

I use a different sharing app than the native android share.. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andmadesoft.share it is awesome and you can modify your needs. I suggest you try that and you'll be able to access Twitter or any other native app from any other native app without them needing to be "bffs"

No I did not, I prefer the native share. But even that would be inefficient (several taps instead of just "open in external browser") :(.

I can't find any article from Twitter or Google about this…

EDIT: this still does not work :(

TIL it actuallys comes from Chrome custom tabs (https://developer.chrome.com/multidevice/android/customtabs) and sadly it seems that I can't disable it. :(
