Make it your home page
It is not Firefox, it is the Google web page, looks like youre the one "misinformed"
I am takting about the Googlebar in Firefox, which is Fiorefox' responsibility, not Googles'. Other browsers CAN do this.
What are you referring to as the Googlebar?
This - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/googlebar/?src=search - is a 3rd party add-on, not created by Mozilla.
Google delivers local content based upon the IP address you are currently using. If you're in Greece, using a local connection, you are going to get local search results.
See this Google support page.

@ the-edmeister: Thanks, but I did not mean the Googlebar addon. Firefox still uses 2 address fields. One is for Google. I was hoping that when my browser is in US-English, searches will be done in US English at Google.com. With Google Translate it's even worse. Firefox doesn't let me out of the Greek one. And if you can't read Greek it's like chinese. You won't have any idea where to click. If Internet Explorer can do it Firefox should. I insist that Firefox is responsible for its default "features". One of it is the Google search bar (address field).
Insist all you want, Google is doing the redirection based upon the IP address you are connecting with. Did you read the Google support answer that I hyperlinked?
"Bookmark http://www.google.com/ncr . This is an alternative web address for Google.com that always takes you to Google.com without redirecting you."
