When trying to add a site to the exception list firefox crashes as soon popup exception button clicked!

The browser simply freezes, no error message, its just stuck. Only way to recover, force close firefox.

The issue even occurs when Firefox freshly opened.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Hi, thanks for the advise, unfortunatly the shift key option does not work in Linux (in my version at least) I had to use

firefox -safe-mode

from a shell, anyway no that makes no difference, the shell did however report multiple errors:

Many of:

(firefox:29827): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed

and

(/usr/lib/firefox/firefox:30057): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed

(/usr/lib/firefox/firefox:30057): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed Killed
