When asked if I wish to allow notifications for a website, I said never. Now there is a text bubble with a line through it on my search bar to the left of the green lock. Is there a way to hide that notification without removing my selection?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
