After installing the new firefox and the newest windows 7 updates now black boxes appear over random parts of every internet site. I have installed the newest flash player. That did not have any effect on the problem. I have no add ons installed.

In Firefox 4 and later Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

Try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player.
