hello, Updating from Firefox 18.0.1 to 18.0.2 of Firefox has not removed the Mozilla Firefox 18.0.1 entry from the Windows Control Panel list of installed programs. How could I fix that? thanks.

Remove the firefox 18.0.1, make sure you don't delete personal data if it asks about that.

It is possible that you only see orphaned Firefox entries in add and remove programs.
This can happen if the Firefox updater didn't remove the entry of the previous version, but merely added an entry for the new version.
If you are comfortable with the registry editor then you can remove Firefox entries that no longer apply in this registry key.

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Mozilla Firefox (????)

If you have a 64 bit Windows version then inspect this key:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Mozilla Firefox
