Everytime I start up Firefox on my Verizon HTC ONE M8 since the lollipop update, it crashes after about a second or two. I am using the latest version of Firefox on the Play Store, and the behavior persists even after uninstalling Firefox and doing a clean install.

thank you, this is very valuable information. i've filed bug #1140830 about this, so let's hope that mozilla's engineers will look into that issue soon...

1. The problems persist in FIrefox for Android 36.0.1. Also, the other day, I tested the latest releases on the Beta, Aurora, and Nightly channels, as well as Firefox for Android 35.0.1, and all displayed the same issue. It also persists after a factory reset that I did for unrelated reasons. 2. Unfortunately, I can't get to about:crashes because Firefox for Android crashes literally every single time I open it. However, I think this crash report is one of mine, based on the user comment: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/387ba616-0b87-410e-a96d-347df2150306

It looks like the bug is going to be fixed in version 39 (current Nightly version)! Way to go!
