when starting firefox, popup screen asks to let firefox make changes to the hard-drive on the computer. Must say yes, or firefox won't start. Same next time.
Is this a firexfox problem, or is something wrong with my hard drive? I don't have this problem when using IE or Opera, only Firefox. I have to let Firefox make changes to my hard drive, or it won't start. Once I click Yes, Firefox works. Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
- Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
- "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
