My computer at work thinks I am not in the UK - my home computer is fine. I have tried to get on 'Scrabble' on facebook and also the National lottery. I can access both through Internet Explorer - but not Firefox. Why?

Ask your work IT department.

There could be many reasons, for this.

Any particular reason that you installed the en-GB version of Firefox rather than the en-US version? That could affect some websites which read the UserAgent and then deliver what they think is the appropriate content. Other websites "filter" by the IP address of the connection being used. What does this website say where you are located?

I am a fellow Brit and use en-GB versions of Firefox. No problems with accessing UK National lottery site from my computers. It is a condition of buying tickets from that site that you are resident in the UK (or IoM)

Besides some business sites using none UK IP address, some may consider business access to facebook and Lottery is not required.
