Just Updated My Mac Laptop With Firefox 5.0.

My Windows 7 Laptop Still Is Running 4.0.1.

I Can't Get My Windows Firefox To Update To 5.0.

Why Is This, & Is It OK Because They Are Different Op Systems?

Those who installed the beta version of Firefox 4 are being offered the beta version of Firefox 5.

Firefox 5 is due to be released on June 21st. If you want to install the beta version of Firefox 5 on Windows, you can get it from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

Presumably the Mac is using the Beta channel and the Windows machine is on the standard release.

Are you getting any error messages your Windows system, you should be able to upgrade to Firefox 5, if that is specifically what you require. AFAIK 5 is currently on the Beta channel and 4 is the current release with a change to 5 scheduled for for 21st June.
