You ruined the UI with 29, I am _NOT_ interested in re-learning your stupid UI, as it breaks too much stuff. Please proactively refrain from suggesting that option. I will assume you have not read my question if you suggest like a date-rapist that i "Get used to it" like you have with others.

1. How do I revert to 28 (or some other pre-broken version)

2. How do I disable FF from updating back to the broken version?

3. What (if any) versions of firefox are available pre-29 that will receive critical security updates?

4. If the first 3 aren't possible, please suggest the recommended method of exporting my bookmark folders to Google Chrome.

Looks like a partial solution for anyone else fed up is here:

Extended Support Release: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/

Download link: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/

This will keep the old UI until planned depreciation this fall.

Also: Having read many other unhelpful threads here, I need to make clear that to myself, and most other users, downloading a 3rd party plugin to simulate the old UI is not an option. Firstly, the security implications of running unknown 3rd party plugins prevent it's use by any corporate or security conscious users. Secondly it does not fix the root issue of breaking existing plugins, integrations and workflow. Nor does it put anything back in a sane place where people can find anything. The current layout is so counter-intuitive and user vicious that it's not worth my time. You would think you would make the UI "customizable" but then LEAVE IT THE SAME, allowing USERS TO CHOOSE, instead of choosing for them and telling them they can waste their time putting it back with 3rd party tools.

Hi,

I understand your frustration and surprise at the removal of these features but I can't undo these changes. I'm just a support volunteer and I do not work for Mozilla .But you can send any feedback about these changes to http://input.mozilla.org/feedback. Firefox developers collect data submitted through there then present it at the weekly Firefox meeting.

Firefox ESR releases are not targeted toward end users but rather large organizations and educational institutes with their own dedicated IT department.

if you want to go back to a previous version, completely feel free to use the old versions. Remember that this puts your machine and personal data at an increased risk.

Note: Please remember to be wary of what sites you download from as they may advertise Firefox 22 for example and package it as a Beta, RC, or other pre-release version and may have malware/adware or other unwanted items.
