When I logged on yesterday I was able to access everything fine. Logged Off. When I logged on again later I could only access my Yahoo Home Page, and continue to get email, but cannot open any other website. This is at my home and I am writing from work. What is wrong? I still use Vista software, so is this the end of Vista upgrades? I tried to download upgrades for my system, and they would not load. What can I do when I get home and try again? Thank you.

Try to reset (power on/off) the router.

What happens when you try to access other sites? For example, do you get a specific error page (e.g., server not found, page not found), or a blank page, or just nothing?

Do your bookmarks still work?

Does a direct link separate from Yahoo search results (e.g., https://www.mozilla.org/) work?

By the way, what version of Firefox do you have on your Vista computer? It should be the Extended Support Release of Firefox 52. Other recent releases are not compatible with Vista.

If you can open the Troubleshooting Information page, that information should be provided in the first table there. Either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
  • (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter

"Channel" will reference "esr".

If you want to take home an installer for that release "just in case" you can download it from the following page:

https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all/

Please choose the regular Windows version (32-bit) for maximum compatibility unless you've already been using the 64-bit version.
