HOW To (the steps) import netscape navigator 9 bookmarks ( in English) to Firefox ... thank you
I currently am and have been using Netscape Navigator 9 because all of my bookmarks I want are saved there, however I am unable to figure out how to get them to come over to Firefox when I install Firefox ...
over the past 2 years I have repeatedly tried to install Firefox but for some reason when the `bookmarks' that are taken from Netscape are transferred they are some very old version from 5 years ago (?) which I do not want!
I need the `steps' of how to transfer my currently used bookmarks in Netscape Navigator 9 to Firefox!
Thank you in advance ... Tom Day phone number removed by a moderator

You can import your Netscape bookmarks into Firefox by using the Import feature of the Bookmarks Manager.
- At the top of the Firefox window, click Bookmarks, and select "Organize Bookmarks...". The Library window will open.
- In the Library window, click "Import and Backup" and select "Import HTML...". The Import Wizard for bookmarks will open.
- Select "From an HTML File" and click Next
- In the file picker that opens, navigate to your Netscape Navigator 9 profile folder.
- Select the bookmarks.html file you wish to import from Netscape.
The contents of the bookmarks file you import will be added to your current Firefox bookmarks.
The normal location for the Netscape profile folder is C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows login user name>\Application Data\Netscape\Navigator\Profiles\<Profile name>
The Netscape profile folder is normally a hidden folder, in order to display it follow these instructions - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders
