How can I synchronize bookmarks I have saved on different hard drives?
I have bookmarks saved on different hard drives which are sitting either inside the Desktop PC tower or inside an external enclosure connected to the tower via e-sata port and cables.
Is there an easy way to have all the bookmarks in every hard drive whenever I use it? (Where does FF 5.0 save the bookmarks?) If there is a way, how do I do that? I would appreciate a step by step path.
Thank you kindly

Firefox saves bookmarks in the places.sqlite in the Profile folder.
How to find your Profile folder
It stores bookmark backups in json files, in the \bookmarksbackup\ folder in the Profile folder.
Plus, Firefox can import & export bookmarks which are stored the traditional Netscape-1 bookmarks.html file format, which has been the universal interchange format used by most web browsers for importing and exporting Favorites / Bookmarks data since like 1996.
So, what you want to do depends upon what format those "bookmarks" are stored in.
Well, all my bookmarks have been saved as bookmarks with different versions of FF exclusively. I have the sync version of FF installed and I have created a Firefox sync account. You have made me aware that XMarks is not supported by FF and that there have been incompatibilities and clashes so im not using Xmarks for syncing Now once again, i need to get a resolutioon to synchronize all my FF bookmarks to be the same in all 6 of my hard drives.. the 2 inside the PC desktop tower + 4 inside a 4-bay external enclosure. Is there some smooth way to sync them all? by either A. setting them to be synced automatically? or B. sync them manually the first time around now that I have hundreds of them both in folders specially created plus the ones that are still individually included under the Bookmarks general folder list. Once this initial consolidation is in place, can I create some settings so no matter in which of the 6 drives im adding a bookmark all 6 of the drivers get the new additions automatically?
Thank you again for the attention you may give to this request.
Open the Control Panel > Folder Options --> View and de-select Hide extensions for known file types = you need to know the file extension of those Bookmarks files that you have on those 6 drives. How to proceed depends upon the format those bookmarks are saved in.
Also, Firefox Sync works with bookmarks in a Profile, not loose bookmarks files which are scattered across many hard drives.
Ed: IIN the past I followed your instructions in doing all of what you suggested but lost track of what to do after "de-select Hide extensions for known file types" = you need to know the file extension of those Bookmarks files that you have on those 6 drives
The extension of all those bookmarks are whatever extension FF gave to them. Right now I have version 12 installed. After having lost bookmarks I decided to make mirror images of the full hard disk which i also encrypted with TrueCrypt. So the same question still exist in my mind. Ive read all about FF Sync...but it refers to syncing between devces and/or different computers. How do I consolidate a Master list containing every single bookmark i have saved in all my 6 hard drives? Is that possible.. How do i do it? What is the procedure? Does sync sift between all the bookmarks avoiding to save duplicate files? Or, do I need to eliminate duplicates manually after the Master list is populated? What is the procedure to achieve all of that?
Thank you for your contributions trying to help me out to finally reach my goal with this long awaited project?
Thank you kindly.

I now say:
