Why does Download.com alert offer 25.0 while 24.0 itself says I'm up to date?
In their update/upgrade notifier they offer a download of FireFox v 25.0 and even list the improvements in it. The version I have installed according to both Help/About and Mozilla support homepage, is 24.0 and they tell me I'm up to date. Which one is correct?

cyborg4 is incorrect as Firefox 25.0 has been officially released since during day of Oct 29 as a simple check of mozilla.org would confirm otherwise.

The Beta channel with be having 26.0b1 soon.
Also please do not download Firefox or anything from download .com aka cnet as many of the applications there come bundled with pardon my language extra crap that cnet added.

Hi,
25.0 is currently in beta test and it seems you are on the full release channel. Your Firefox is correct, and unless you want to try out Firefox beta builds rather than the tried and tested 24.0, stay with 24.
Hope this helps!
Curtis

Hi,
Apologies for that error - I was behind the times. Please download Firefox from Mozilla.org and upgrade using the install wizard.
Hope this helps!
