Unable to login to my Gmail via Thunderbird 128.5.1esr (64-bit) on Win11 (x64). I'm using OAuth2 and the google mail SMTP servers that autopopulate once I type my gmail address. The google login window pops up in a new window within Thunderbird & upon logging in via my Security Key nothing happens. The Security Key PIN gets accepted and the google login screen just sits and waiting for security key login. After I close the Google Login window Thunderbird says "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password.

Bis Sept. 2024 war ich bei "1und" und bin ab Okt. 2024 wegen Umstellung auf Glasfaser bei BBV-TONI. Was kann ich tun? Wie kann die Störung behoben werden? I migrated to a new computer with Windows 11 and to the latest TB nebula. I copied the profile folders to the new system and it imported 20 years of email correctly. BU… (les mer)
I migrated to a new computer with Windows 11 and to the latest TB nebula. I copied the profile folders to the new system and it imported 20 years of email correctly. BUT every connections seems to hang and eventually times out. It almost looks like TB blocked by a firewall. Even checking for updates eventually times out. HOWEVER everything works fine in troubleshooting mode.
I have no add-ons installed. I have no VPNs or additional firewalls. Disabling Windows firewall entirely doesn't change anything. I tried "Make the changes and restart" with no success. I added thunderbird.exe to the exceptions to the windows firewall and even added a rule. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
Is there any setting related to the connection that would be different in troubleshoot mode? Apparently nobody has ever experienced this problem, I feel like I'm going insane.

A new update of Thunderbird was downloaded overnight. The upgrade requires a restart. After the restart, Thunderbird still does not open. The message keeps coming up again and again. Thunderbird upgrade requires a restart.

I have just installed Thunderbird. I've completed the Account Setup. The page checks the input and then return an error message saying: "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password".
The username and password are stored in Bitwarden [Password Manager] so are not wrong. In any case, I have the same email account open in a different browser demonstrating that I am using the right log-in name and password.
Knowing that the configuration is likely incorrect is no help. I have no idea what part of the configuration is incorrect. Guidance on what to change would be appreciated.
[Just in case the developers are reading, it would be really useful if paste was not disabled for the password field. Other browsers don't disable paste and I don't see why security requires it.]
