Hi,
Have you tried any of these steps?
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/control-firefox-automatically-fills-in-forms?
Let us know if it works.
What you sent does not solve my problem. Nothing happen in Yahoo Mail when I start to type the name - NOTHING. Please help or I will have to stop using Firefox
Is the Yahoo password still showing in the Password Manager?
- Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
If the name is saved then Firefox should show it as a choice in the drop-down list that should open if you type the first letter(s). If something has changed to the code then Firefox should offer to store the (new) name and password.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history).
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
- Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"
There is nothing in saved passwords, but that has not changed. I am logged in to Yahoo. The password is not the problem. Private browsing is not selected, it has been set as suggested. Please make another suggestion.
Details like websites remembering you (log you in automatically) are stored in a cookie.
- Create a cookie 'allow' exception to keep such cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
- Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions
In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
- do not clear the Cookies
- do not clear the Site Preferences
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/remove-browsing-search-and-download-history
Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.
Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you would like to keep.
Not addressing the issue.
