There isn't any pattern, sometimes it will run for hours (or even days) and other times it will crash after few seconds to a few minutes and crash maybe 2~7 times on re-start. I've tried the troubleshooting tips and checked everything is updated but nothing seems to work. It has been happening for probaly 18 months on various releases, I was expecting 49.01(? whatever number is latest release in Sept 2016) to fix all the issues but still the same problem. It's only happening on Linux based OS, Laptop with Win 10 has only had crashed one time in few months. I wasusing Mint 18 on laptop but it isn't very reliable on wireless connection . Opera isn't having a problem on desktop so I'm pretty sure it's NOT a hardware problem

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)
