Firefox location bar entries not deleting
Hi, In the last version of Firefox I was able to delete entries in the location / address bar so only the websites I use are in the list. I've tried to do this v57.0b4 (64) but after deleting the re-appear in the list. I've tried opening the drop down list and using the down arrow to highlight the entry then press delete button and it disappears only to show again as soon as I open the drop down again. I have also highlight / hold shift key + delete button, but still the entries deleted still show again after delete. This was not happening with the version I was using before updating. Hope you can help fix this problem.

Hi ShadowAD,
Thanks for reporting this. I suppose one of the dangers of beta software is that there can be bugs!
This bug has been reported and Firefox developers are working to fix it.
If you're interested, more information is on Bugzilla here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1402555
Thanks,

Are you hovering the item with the mouse or are you using the cursor Down key?
If you use the latter and press the Delete key then the entry should be removed unless it is a bookmark and has a star.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

If the Places Maintenance extension can't repair the places.sqlite database then remove all places.sqlite file(s) in the Firefox profile folder to make Firefox rebuild the places.sqlite database from the most recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Why in the heck cant a user go to the address bar/awesome bar or whatever the latest "cool" description of this bar is called and simply delete a web-site? You have to be a brain surgeon to simply remove a address. Firefox was once a simple, easy to use browser.... now just becoming a BLOATware product.
