You can try these steps to inspect the certificate to see if that provides the certificate chain.

  • open the Server tab in the Certificate Manager
    • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Certificates: View Certificates -> Servers: "Add Exception"
  • paste the URL of the website (https://xxx.xxx) in it's location field.

Let Firefox retrieve the certificate -> "Get Certificate"

  • click the "View" button and inspect the certificate

You can see detail like the issuer of the certificate and intermediate certificates in the Details tab.

I get this information from it but I don't know what to do with it:

DigiNotar Root CA

I was able to export the info into a crt file, but again, don't know what do with it.

The exceptions you see listed on the Servers aren't important for this issue and you can leave them alone.

You need to click the "Add Exception" button on the Servers tab. When you click this button then a windows with the Add Security Exception page opens. Alternatively you can open this chrome URI via the location/address bar like you open a web page.

  • chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul

You can open "about:" and chrome pages via the location/address bar

  • "chrome:" is a protocol to access special pages
