Very long time user now finally walking away from firefox
I do not get it. This browser has everyday now for the longest time gone downhill and it is just getting worse and worse to the point it is unusable. To navigate the internet one can no longer simply use the great firefox to do so. Besides the browswer having issues itself, it seems just about every webpage does not work on firefox at all either. Sync is a joke, history doesn't even work ans saving passwords is useless. But my last issue, enough is enough and I am done. Trying for quite so time figure out why firefox is not loading my school book. It is redirect the URL a million times. Mobile and desktop FF. Use chrome and now only does it work, it is faster. Just stop the project and move on. You guys had your run and obviously someone somewhere lost their values.

Yesterday forced dark theme was annoying, but today outage does look like a deal breaker for me as well
Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers. If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.

Do you have the address of that site so that we can look into this matter further for you?

There is a change in Firefox 96 related to cookies and insecure sites.

As a workaround for now you can modify this pref on the about:config page to revert this change.
- about:config => network.cookie.sameSite.laxByDefault = false
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.
- make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content. You can click shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection. You can check the Web Console for relevant-looking messages about blocked content.

You can try these steps in case of issues with webpages:
You can reload webpage(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Settings).
"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:
- Settings -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"
"Clear the Cache":
- Settings -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> [X] Cached Web Content -> Clear

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window
The amount of websites in the last week that have ceased to function at all with firefox is getting out of control. Facebook does not work at all on firefox. FAFSA student aid does not work at all
So many.
What is going on? This is causing nothing but severe issues.
The recent outage was about an issue with HTTP/3 that suddenly came to surface and that has been fixed in Firefox 96.0.1, so make sure to update. If you have a problem with accessing a lot of websites via secure HTTPS then something else is wrong. This can be a problem with security software that places itself in the internet connection as a MITM or a problem with the connection settings like a proxy or VPN or a setting change you made in Firefox on installed extensions. The latter you can test in a new profile.
You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
Do you not see it? It has gotten out of control!
I go to facebook using firefox. Every single image is black with alt text, nothing loads at all, literally.
I use chrome and not only is the expirence they way it should be, it is even better.
I just click on a image and in firefox it did nothing at all but give a black screen. Chrome it works.
I have to admit at this point I think anyone would be better off with netscape navigator than firefox.
This answer refers to the many reports of issues with Facebook (which I haven't had): https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1362205#answer-1469087
