How can I reset the zoom back to the ealier FF versions?
Since I upgraded to FF25, I have a ridiculous zoom on the screen now.
This is on my HTPC computer attached to my TV.
I know its related to the 125% font increase on windows, but this is an "upgrade" that does NOT work.
None of the changing the zoom levels to -1, 0.80 or anything else work. yes it changes the webpage zoom level, but it also changes the menus and favourite icons on the task bar to unreadable.
Please remove this problem, or at least give an option to remove it.

Set the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref on the about:config page to 1.0 or on Windows 8 to 1.25 and if necessary, adjust layout.css.devPixelsPerPx starting with 1.0 in 0.1 or 0.05 steps (1.0 or 0.9) to make icons in the user interface show correctly.

You can look at the Default FullZoom Level or NoScript extension if web pages need to be adjusted after changing layout.css.devPixelsPerPx.

hello, changing the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx preference is the only way to adjust that bhaviour. in case your menus become to small through that, please use an addon like https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/ to work around that.
I appreciate your answers, and I will try them later (on a different PC now)
But...
Why was this changed, when all it does is create a lot of problems and require that users (a lot of whom are not technically minded) need to go in the dragons lair of advanced settings, addons and workarounds??
"upgrades" should not need "workarounds" to get something "back to normal".
Please... just make a setting which IGNORES the Windows 125%... and leaves FF as it should be.
This is not an "upgrade", and I really don't understand how this idea got through approval without users being given a "no thanks" tickbox...
